Nov 07, 2014 (newstodate): St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport is to boost its efforts to attract new cargo operators.
The airport has introduced an incentives scheme to lure foreign carriers to launch freighter traffic at the airport that is today seeing only Korean Air operating scheduled freighter services.
The airport is to target carrier in the M East and Asia such as Turkish Airlines Cargo, Emirates SkyCargo, but also Russian operators like AirBridgeCargo Airlines.
Starting from October 24, 2014, the airport has introduced an incentives scheme that will support airlines already operating at the airport in increasing frequencies as well as new carriers setting up freighter flights with at least one weekly rotation.
The support will reduce airport charges, security charges with up to 45 percent, depending on the frequency of the flights.
