Nov 26, 2014 (newstodate): In October 2014, the top three positions among Sweden's IATA airfreight forwarders were again held by DHL Global Forwarding, Geodis Wilson and Schenker with 25.62, 19.02 and 8.68 percent of the IATA export airfreight market, respectively.
But all three saw their volumes down on last year - DHL by 7.85, Geodis Wilson by 12.67 and Schenker by 4.38.
Actually, only three forwarding companies increased their volumes, y-o-y, in October, namely #5, UPS SCS Sweden up 82.92 percent, #8, DSV Air & Sea up 2.03 percent - and finally #9, Greencarrier up 31.95 percent and thus qualifying for a place on the IATA export cargo Top-10 list of forwarders.
Dropping the most in volumes was Panalpina that saw a decline by 41.30 percent, y-o-y, in October.
Overall, the market in Sweden showed a negative growth by 12.64 percent, y-o-y, to 8,663 tonnes.
