Nov 13, 2014 (newstodate): Starting from this winter's schedule, Emirates SkyCargo is adding its 11th freighter operation at Copenhagen, bolstering the airport's role as its Scandinavian freighter hub.
The new route originating at Dubai is operated with a Boeing 777F to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and calls at Copenhagen Airport on its return flight, continuing home to Dubai al Maktoum Airport.
Emirates SkyCargo is currently operating 10 freighter flights at the airport, with eight of these being transit operations generating only limited import/export cargo in the Scandinavian markets.
Since July 1, 2014, the company has consolidated all Nordic freighter operations at Copenhagen Airport by moving also two weekly rotations between Dubai and Gothenburg, Sweden, to Denmark, serving the Scandinavian market only.
