Nov 06, 2014 (newstodate): Sweden's Malmo Airport will have a new direct air link to Vilnius, in Lithuania, in 2015.
Starting from April 25, 2015, the Hungarian LCC Wizz Air will launch flights on the new route Malmo-Vilnius, offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The carrier currently operates flights on routes from Malmo to Belgrade, Budapest, Bucurest, Gdansk, Katowice, Skopje, Sofia, Tuzla and Warsaw, and before Christmas flights to Cluj-Napoja in Romania will added while an 11. route will be opened om March 30, 2014, to Poznan.
Wizz Air made its entry into Malmo in September, 2004, with flights to Budapest and Warsaw, and its offerings have run as high as 16 routes in summer 2013.
