Nov 05, 2014 (newstodate): Poland's Warsaw Chopin Airport is growing its traffic in the coming winter schedule, with nine new services announced.
LOT Polish Airlines plans to increase weekly flight frequency on 18 European routes including flights to Stockholm from 12 to 17, to Copenhagen from 14 to 18, to Riga from seven to 10, and to Tallinn from four to six weekly rotations.
LOT's Boeing 787 fleet will will be also operated on charter flights for travel agencies Itaka and Rainbow Tours to 10 different destinations, in addition to the scheduled flights to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Beijing.
As of January 29, 2015, Wizz Air will expand its fleet at Warsaw adding a fifth Airbus A320 aircraft, allowing it to operate to six new destinations, but already from December 2014 Wizz Air plans to resume a scheduled service to Grenoble, France, and from January Wizz Air will also launch flights to two new destinations Verona and Turin.
Starting from October 26, 2014, Eurolot launched regular services to Stuttgart and Dusseldorf, Zagreb and Kishinev, and from October 27 flights to Lublin were added as well.
Norwegian is also developing its Warsaw network, opening flights from Warsaw to Gatwick in September and adding two destinations on the Canary Islands in October 2014.
