Nov 25, 2014 (newstodate): In three days, Azerbaijan Airlines will be the latest new operator of the Boeing 787 aircraft.
November 28, 2014 has now been slated for the delivery date of the first of two Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft ordered in February 2007.
The carrier was considering canceling the order during the sustained period of technical faults with the aircraft but was persuaded to stay on the line.
The company says the second Boeing 787 aircraft may be delivered already in December 2014, but that it is more likely to arrive in Baku by early spring 2015.
Azerbaijan Airlines was the first CIS airline to order the aircraft, followed by S7 Sibir Airlines and Uzbekistan Airways.
