Nov 17, 2014 (newstodate): Cargo at Estonia's Tallinn Airport dipped by 5.5 percent, y-o-y, in October 2014.
A total of 2,247 tonnes of cargo and mail passed through the airport, including 2,107 tonnes of cargo.
The cargo volumes comprised 1,835 tonnes of cargo import shipments that were down 9.4 percent, y-o-y, while a significant increase by 36.5 percent in cargo exports to 272 tonnes was insufficient to outbalance the decrease in imports.
During January-October 2014 the airport has handled 17,060 tonnes of cargo and mail, down two percent on last year.
Import volumes, 13,274 tonnes, were down 6.6 percent while exports have increased by 22.9 percent to 2,361 tonnes.
