Nov 17, 2014 (newstodate): The cost structure of Air Lituanica is effective and rational, given the company's size, type of operation and its duration.
While the carrier has not been overly generous with facts and details about its financial and management issues, the German company Lufthansa Consulting has few reservations in concluding that Air Lituanica has one of the most effective cost management structures among European regional airlines, and that the carrier will most likely generate higher income during the winter season.
Lufthansa Consulting has performed an audit of the carrier during October 2014 and is now developing a detailed revised business plan for Air Lituanica for 2015-2025 to be presented to the Council of Vilnius City Municipality at the end of December, according to Lithuanian media.
Air Lituanica operates flights from Vilnius International Airport to Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Munich, Paris, Billund, adding also flights to Stockholm from January 26, 2015.
