Oct 02, 2014 (newstodate): Starting out with triangular operations from Istanbul into the Baltic markets of Estonia and Lithuania, Turkish Airlines is now splitting the services from the start of this winter's schedule 2014/15.
Effective from October 26, 2014, the carrier will thus operate direct flights between Istanbul and Tallinn and between Istanbul and Vilnius.
Services between Istanbul and Tallinn will be offered four times weekly against only three earlier announced, and Istanbul and Vilnius will see five weekly flights against only two as earlier announced.
Turkish Airlines inaugurated the triangular Baltic route with the first flight on June 11, 2013, with three weekly rotations, adding an additional two rotations in January 2013.
Since April 19, 2006, Turkish Airlines has also been on-line between Riga in Latvia, the third country in the Baltic region.
