Oct 30, 2014 (newstodate): Munich and Tehran seem close to see the reestablishment of direct air connections after a 10-year pause.
The Iranian privately-owned carrier Mahan Air is planning for opening flights between the two destinations already from November 12, 2014, if all preconditions are met.
The carrier will operate an Airbus A310 on the route to be served twice weekly.
The route was served by Lufthansa until 2004 when operations were suspended.
Mahan Air is already online with flights connecting Tehran and Frankfurt.
