Oct 08, 2014 (newstodate): After a weak start to the year, Estonia's Tallinn Airport has seen its cargo volumes rising slightly in 2014.
In September, the airport handled a total of 2,35q tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 1.6 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 2,214 tonnes of cargo and 137 tonnes of mail.
While cargo imports dropped 8.8 percent, y-o-y, to 1,814 tonnes, cargo exports increased significantly by 117.6 percent to 400 tonnes.
During January-September 2014 the airport's total volumes reached 14,777 tonnes, still down 1.7 percent, y-o-y, including cargo exports rising 21.3 percent to 2,089 tonnes and cargo imports down 6.4 percent to 11,402 tonnes.
