Oct 14, 2014 (newstodate): Air cargo volumes are rising consistently during 2014 at Serbia's Belgrade Nicola Tesla Airport.
During the first nine months of this year, the airport has handled a total of 6,952 tonnes of cargo, up 28 percent, y-op-y, as well as 92 tonnes of mail, an increase by 18 percent - all excluding volumes on road feeder services.
Passenger volumes have been rising fast, with a total of 3.6 mio passengers during January-September 2014, an increase by 31 percent, y-o-y.
Behind the growth is the resurrected Air Serbia, boosted by its part-owner Etihad, but the airport has also been seeing an increasing number of airlines operating at the airport over the last year.
