Oct 28, 2014 (newstodate): Wizz Air has extended its handling contract with Lithuania's Baltic Ground Services by another three years.
Under the contract, Baltic Ground Services will provide the Hungarian low-cost airline with a full range of ground handling services at Vilnius International Airport.
Wizz Air established Vilnius as its 14th operational from April 17, 2011, initially basing one Airbus A320 aircraft at Vilnius Airport, adding a second aircraft from May 2012 and a third from March 2014.
This summer Baltic Ground Handling's market share at Vilnius International Airport reached 60 percent.
Besides the latest cooperation extension with Wizz Air, this year alone Baltic Ground Services has signed or extended existing cooperation agreements with a range of other carriers including Finnair, Air Lituanica, Ukraine International Airlines, DHL, ArkeFly, Enter Air and KlasJet.
