Oct 31, 2014 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is to operate charter flights for a Danish tour operator from Aalborg to Chania and Rhodes two times weekly from summer 2015.
So far, the Boeing 737 aircraft will perform empty ferry flights between Riga and Aalborg, making Aalborg its third destination in Denmark alongside Copenhagen and Billund.
Calling on newstodate, the airline's VP Corporate Communications, Janis Vanags however denies information in Danish media that airBaltic has decided to open up for passenger sales on flights between Aalborg and Riga.
-We are indeed evaluating this option, and should we decide to do so all preconditions are in place for carrying passengers to and from Aalborg. Only no decision on this has yet been made, says Mr Vanags.
