Oct 29, 2014 (newstodate): Lithuanian politicians have raised concern about the financial situation and the ownership structure of Air Lituanica, as reported by newstodate yesterday.
The airline, however, denies there is anything below the board.
-It is just political games, says Sandra Meskauskaite, Air Lituanica Communications Manager.
-Already in July this year we shared information with Lithuanian media on last year's financial result, and in 2013 the airline ended with a 12.8 million net loss.
-We have never said that we are operating profitably, and I can add that were also operating in the red in 2014. But we are planning to reach profitability after the first four years of operations, says Ms Meskauskaite.
Air Lituanica launched commercial flights on June 30, 2013, on the route between Vilnius and Brussels.
