Oct 29, 2014 (newstodate): Aeroflot is building up its fleet of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
The carrier is now operating 10 aircraft of this type, a further four will be delivered before the end of this year, and plans are to have all 30 aircraft ordered in service by early 2016.
On June 16, 2011, the Superjet 100 performed its first commercial operation with Aeroflot on the route from Moscow to St Petersburg, but the carrier handed back its first 10 light version aircraft that fell below standards.
Sukhoi thus bought the 10 Superjet 100 aircraft initially delivered and exchanged them with new aircraft during 2013-2015.
