Jan 24, 2014 (newstodate): SAS Cargo retained its leading position in the Swedish IATA export cargo market in 2013 - but with Lufthansa Cargo close on the heels...
SAS Cargo thus sold a total of 16,031 tonnes in the Swedish market, increasing modestly by 1.6 percent, y-o-y.
#2, Lufthansa Cargo, however, grew its volumes in 2013 by no less than 21.6 percent to 12,071 tonnes.
#3 was KLM Cargo with 11,755 tonnes, boosting its export volumes by no less than 54.9 percent to 11,755 tonnes.
Emirates, #4, also grew its volumes in Sweden by 10.1 percent to 8,230 tonnes, while #5, Finnair was down 0.9 percent to 7,751 tonnes.
Of the Top-10 carriers, Korean Air Lines fared the worst with a decline by 32.2 percent, y-o-y, to 3,943 tonnes in 2013.
In total, Sweden's IATA export cargo increased by 3.8 percent, y-o-y, to 103,178 tonnes in 2013.
