Jan 10, 2014 (newstodate): Russia's Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport continued to build its position as an important air cargo hub in 2013 for carriers operating between Europe, the USA and Asia as well as cargo carriers serving the Russian market.
In 2013, the airport thus handled a total of 29,947 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 6.9 percent.
The airport also expects the positive development to continue in 2014, estimating over 32,000 tonnes of cargo and mail by year-end.
Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport is now serving many Russian, Chinese and Western cargo airlines including AirBridgeCargo, Aeroflot, Volga-Dnepr, Cargolux, Air Cargo Germany, Air China Cargo, and Yangtze River Express, and Nordic Global Airlines, the JV between Finnair and Neff Capital Management, is also calling at the airport as a technical and fueling stop on the routes between Hong Kong and Helsinki, Finland.
The infrastructure of Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport comprises two runways at 3,600 as well as two cargo terminals.
