Jan 15, 2014 (newstodate): The Russian cargo carrier Atran has launched freighter flights between Moscow, Sweden and Germany.
Starting from January 9, 2014, the carrier is offering one weekly rotation between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Malmo, Sweden, as well as four weekly flights between Moscow and Munich, Germany.
The carrier is operating Boeing 737-400SF freighter capacity on the routes feeding cargo between the sister company AirBridgeCargo's route network and the Swedish and German markets.
In October 2011, Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group acquired Atran to provide the company with capability to feed and distribute airfreight on the domestic network connected to the larger freighter hubs, now also expanding into the international markets.
