Jan 28, 2014 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Carpatair has landed in deep financial mire and has filed for insolvency.
The decision took effect from January 24, 2014, and the carrier is now operating under a temporary board and management, legally protected to continue its operations.
As an immediate result, Carpatair is operating a limited schedule with its fleet of one Boeing 737-300 and three Fokker 100 aircraft.
Carpatair's board is now focusing on ways of restructuring the carrier aiming at a relaunch of services with fresh capital.
