Jan 21, 2014 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw its cargo volumes rising steeply in 2013, boosted by international cargo, and reaching an all-time high.
Cargo volumes handled at the airport increased by 14.7 percent, y-o-y, totaling 119,881 tonnes, including 89,064 tonnes of international cargo that was up 19.6 percent, y-o-y.
The significant rise in international cargo is driven by sustained growth in cargo cargo capacity to lift Norwegian exports of seafood to the global marketplace.

Industry sources claim that Qatar is even considering up to two more weekly rotations through Oslo in 2014.
Since September 7, 2012, Asiana Cargo is also serving Oslo Gardermoen Airport with a weekly Boeing 747-400F freighter service, and Korean Air Cargo has long been operating from Oslo to Seoul, now offering three weekly rotations.
