Jan 24, 2014 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica needs to expand its capital base to secure future development and plans for expansion.
The company has long been searching around for attracting domestic or foreign investors, and the latest addition to the shareholders is the Lithuanian postal company subsidiary Baltic Post as announced today.
The carrier plans to add two more aircraft to its fleet in 2014, facilitating the opening of new flights adding to its current network comprising routes from Vilnius to Brussels, Berlin, Prague and Munich, and from February 14, 2014, to Paris.
Air Lituanica received its AOC on June 26, 2013, allowing it to operate own aircraft, and on August 5, 2013, Lithuania's Civil Aviation Administration issued the Commercial Activity License for Air Lituanica.
