Jan 29, 2014 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's aviation authority has conducted an audit of the country's airlines, resulting in withdrawal of the AOC for nearly one-third of the carriers.
The country has a total of 19 airlines, and of these, the authority has now revoked the AOC of DETA Air, MEGA Aircompany, Euro-Asia International, SAMAL, Semeyair, and Asia Continental Airlines.
Since the start of publication of EU's Blacklist banning airlines from operating into EU airspace, all air carriers from Kazakhstan, with the exception of Air Astana, have been included on the list.
