Jan 08, 2014 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air saw its total passengers volumes up by 12 percent in 2013, and is bent on further expansion in 2014.
Lifting 13.5 mio passengers in 2013 with a fleet currently consisting of 45 Airbus A320 aircraft which will grow to 53 in 2014, the carrier has announced plans for opening of new routes, yet unreleased, from its current base at Vilnius, Lithuania, as well as from Bucharest, Budapest, Skopje, Sofia, and Warsaw.
Wizz Air is now operating flights on a total of 16 routes from Vilnius.
Operating over 300 routes to 35 countries, Wizz Air is also about to launch its 18th and 19th operating bases in Lviv, Ukraine, and Craiova, Romania, in 2014.
