Jan 07, 2014 (newstodate): Russia's top-5 cargo carriers continued to dominate the country's air cargo industry during January-November 2013.
During the 11 months, five carriers accounted for 76.4 percent of all cargo transported by Russian airlines, compared to 72.8 percent in 2012.
Together, they lifted 695,807 tonnes of cargo, compared to 654,078 tonnes in 2012.
The top-5 carriers are AirBridgeCargo with 389,568 tonnes, up 20.5 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot, 161,649 tonnes and down 9.1 percent, Transaero with 62,292 tonnes and up 4.7 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 49,627 tonnes and down 17 percent, and finally S7 Sibir with 32,671 tonnes and down 3.3 percent, y-o-y.
In total, Russian carriers lifted 890,758 tonnes of cargo during January-November 2013, a slight increase by 1.9 percent, y-o-y.
