Sep 06, 2013 (newstodate): Tajikistan's Dushanbe Airport is currently renovating its taxiway system, causing restrictions on aircraft operations.
The French construction company Vinci has been contracted to expand the taxiway system that was originally designed for Tu-154 operations.
Through the project, the system will be expanded to allow for operations by Boeing and Airbus aircraft including large freighter operations.
Vinci SA is also engaged in the construction of the new 11,000 sq m terminal including two new air bridges at Dushanbe International Airport.
