Sep 18, 2013 (newstodate): Today will expectedly spell the final verdict by Ukraine's judicial system in the fight between Swissport and its former J-V partner UIA over the failed cooperation in Swissport Ukraine, now renamed Interavia.
Whatever the outcome will be - if the court meeting is not again suspended - Swissport is determined to carve its niche in Ukraine's airport handling business.
-Ukraine remains a very interesting market for us, given the trends in the country's aviation business and the market opportunities at several airports in the country, says Mark Skinner, Swissport Senior Vice President Ground Handling.
-We have excellent relations with many of the airlines serving Ukraine and we are keen to identify new business opportunities here. We are definitely not leaving Ukraine despite the current problems with our former J-V partner, says Mr Skinner.
