The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is to expand its presence at Bulgaria's Sofia Airport - and among the new routes to be launched in 2014 is a flight between Sofia and Malmo, with two weekly rotations starting from May 16, 2014.
WIZZ Air was the first budget airline to enter the Bulgarian market with the launch of services from September 18, 2005 on a route between Budapest and Sofia, following on Bulgaria's decision to join the EU Open Skies Treaty.
