Sep 30, 2013 (newstodate): By the end of October 2013, the Baltic tour operator GoAdventure is to launch flights from Estonia and Latvia to leisure destinations.
-We are setting up a cooperation with the Russian carrier MetroJet that will base one aircraft, probably an Airbus A321, in Tallinn to launch flights from Tallinn and Riga to Egyptian leisure destinations Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada in the first place, says Marina Moks, GoAdventure CEO.
-We are actually meeting today in Tallinn with representatives from MetroJet to discuss the final details, and I am seeing great prospects for developing this cooperation further.
-Initially, we will be offering one weekly direct flight to Sharm el-Sheikh and to Hurghada from both Tallinn and Riga, with an aircraft to be based here at Tallinn Airport. But we are analyzing the markets to identify more destinations to be added, which might include leisure destinations in Spain from next year. First our focus will of course be an establishing and consolidating our first flights.
-As a tour operator, our core business is package tours, but we will also open up for flights-only if warranted by the market, says Ms Moks.
MetroJet, formerly named Kolavia, is based at Kogalym, Tyumen, in Russia operating a fleet comprising two Airbus A320 and six Airbus A321 aircraft.
