Sep 20, 2012 (newstodate): Air traffic between earlier enemies Russia and Georgia may soon fly in warmer skies..
Representatives from the two sides have agreed that solutions must be found to allow for a normalization of air traffic between the countries, severed since October 2006 after the war and later only eased slightly in the form of some seasonal charter operations.
Efforts will now be made to allow for a quick fix pending the eventual solution in the form of a new air services agreement.
The solution may be the signing of bilateral agreements for each of the routes in question, which would require less red tape and paper work.
A solution can be expected in months, rather than years, sources say.
