Sep 30, 2013 (newstodate): By the start of this month, plans were revealed for the launch of a new Danish airline, Northern Star Aviation.
Reportedly to be based at Aarhus Airport, in Denmark, Northern Star Aviation will provide both passenger and cargo charter operations, and according to facebook information the customer segment will comprise DSV, DHL and military customers.
The fleet will comprise three Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft and three Boeing 757 aircraft in a combi version.
Since then, no further details have been presented, and repeated calls by newstodate to Jens A Blauenschild heading the project have remained unanswered.
Also the Danish aviation regulator Trafikstyrelsen confirms that is has received no application for an AOC by Northern Star Aviation.
If the project is actually realized, it will probably rely instead on an airline partner with an own AOC.
Fresh information on this project will, however, be available in tomorrow's edition of newstodate!
