Boeing and Uzbekistan Airlines have signed an agreement to set up a an aircraft maintenance center with capabilities to provide repair of composite structural components.
The first phase of the project to be realized before the end of this year will see the facilities to repair Boeing 757 and Boeing 767 components, to be followed in 2016 with facilities to provide maintenance of composite structures of the Boeing 787.
On the airline's order book are two Boeing 787 aircraft due for delivery in 2016.
The coming aircraft maintenance center will also bolster the position of Boeing in the CIS markets.
