Sep 16, 2013 (newstodate): Even before the launch of services on the new route between Copenhagen and Ft Lauderdale from November this year, Norwegian has announced an increase in frequencies.
Starting from November 29, 2013, with two weekly rotations, the carrier will add a third rotation from March 31, 2014, all flights to be operated with the fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft.
Two aircraft have been delivered, and third will follow later this autumn building up to a total of eight
Starting from February 28, 2014, the carrier will offer two weekly rotations on a route between Copenhagen Airport and New York, increasing to four rotations per week from April 30, 2014.
And from March 1, 2014, Norwegian will also launch flights between Copenhagen and Los Angeles with two weekly rotations, going up to three rotations from May 1, 2014.
Like most other airlines introducing the Boeing 787, Norwegian is also having its share of operational problems, causing groundings of aircraft, passengers stranded and left at airports as the carrier does not have interline agreements with other airlines to bring their passengers home.
