Sep 04, 2013 (newstodate): Lithuania's Minister of Transportation is currently visiting Malaysia
The minister is heading a delegation also including the CEO of Vilnius Airport who will reportedly have discussions with representatives from the Malaysian airports operator MAHB, Air Asia, Malindo Air and MAS Cargo, as well as the Malaysian MRO provider NADI.
The talks will focus on development of cooperation in air cargo as well as aviation-related issues not comprising passenger transportation.
-The CEO of Vilnius Airport will be representing also other Lithuanian airports, primarily Kaunas Airport that will not have its own CEO under the new airport infrastructure plan currently under development and political approval, says Arijandas Sliupas, Lithuanian vice-minister of transportation.
-The discussions around future cooperation with Malaysian parties in air cargo thus concern Kaunas Airport, rather than Vilnius Airport, and Kaunas is also building up a significant aviation-related business environment around the airport including providers of MRO capabilities, says Mr Sliupas.
