Sep 26, 2013 (newstodate): Lithuania is to get its first-ever direct nonstop flight to Georgia from next summer.
The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is to launch flights between Vilnius and Kutaisi, in Georgia, from next summer, starting from March 31, 2014, with two weekly rotations on the route.
The new route is part of the new opportunities arising from Wizz Air's stationing of a third Airbus A320 aircraft at its operational base at Vilnius Airport which will also allow for more flights to existing destinations and opening of new routes from Lithuania.
The carrier's existing network at Vilnius Airport comprises flights to 16 destinations in 11 countries.
