Sep 16, 2013 (newstodate): Airline alliances are not on the agenda of the Latvian carrier airBaltic.
-I see no benefits from airBaltic joining any of the airline alliances, says Martin Gauss, airBaltic CEO.
-Instead, airBaltic is pinning its cooperation with other airlines on code-share agreements. We have a large and ever-growing number of code-share partners that add their prefixes to our flights, irrespective of their own alliance affiliations. And what is even more important: we operate the routes!
-We are actually approached by these airline alliances, which we take as a recognition of our reputation built up over several years with quality in performance. And this is very satisfactory for us, says Mr Gauss.
