Sep 25, 2013 (newstodate): Korean Air is expanding its services between Korea and Russia.
The carrier will continue its so far seasonal operations starting from this summer's schedule between Seoul and St Petersburg through the coming winter schedule, offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A330-300 aircraft, thus offering all-year services on the route.
Korean Air launched services to St Petersburg from Summer 2004 with three weekly rotations in a code-share agreement with Russian carrier Rossiya as the only carrier on the route.
In 1990, Korean Air started flights between Seoul and Moscow, adding flights to Vladivostok from 1994, and scheduled flights to Irkutsk from 2010.
In the pipeline are plans by Korean Air to launch flights also from Seoul to Novosibirsk as the carrier's fifth Russian destination.
