Sep 20, 2013 (newstodate): Lying low for quite a while, talks between Air India and Slovenia's Adria Airways seem still to be going on.
In June 2011, Air India and Adria Airways signed an MoU to enable the two carriers to offer transfer access to destinations in Eastern Europe and India beyond Ljubljana and Delhi.
Hopes in Slovenia were that this would pave the road for a connection via Ljubljana to the USA operated by Air India in a code-share agreement.
The efforts last year resulted in the signing of a Scheduled Air Services Protocol between the two parties, and talks are now again being conducted.
In the meantime Adria Airways has been put up for sale in a tender that is still open.
