Sep 02, 2013 (newstodate): Greenland Express has folded its wings even before its virgin flight.
After a long series of delays to the project for launching a low-cost competitor to Air Greenland, the project's driving force Gert Brask has now announced on his facebook page that Greenland Express has abrogated its cooperation with its investors and partners, Silver Tiger Aviation and Delta Capita, and Greenland Express Ltd has been closed down with immediate effect on August 30, 2013.
Mr Brask says the project will continue under Greenland Express Holding, and the cooperation with Denim Air will continue.
-The work will now continue aiming at a launch of services by October, November or December 2013, says Mr Brask.
Apart from finding new investors to the project, a launch of flights will also require Denim Air to land the license requires for operating flights on the route between Greenland and Denmark as well as a special license required for arctic operations.
