Sep 10,2013 (newstodate): Launch customer of the Airbus A321 equipped with Sharklets, Finnair has taken delivery of its first of five aircraft on order.
The aircraft will eventually replace Finnair's current fleet of four Boeing 757-200, making it an all Airbus operator.
In the Finnair fleet are now 25 A320 family aircraft and eight Airbus 330-300 and seven Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
In 2005, Finnair was the first airline to commit to the A350 XWB with a an order for nine aircraft, later - in 2007 - exercising its options for a further two Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with deliveries slated to start from 2015 and gradually replacing the Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
