Sep 13, 2013 (newstodate): Already leading the process in the Nordic region, Finnair Cargo continues to build up its e-freight capabilities.
The company has add a further nine stations capable of handling the e-AWB in addition to the four stations earlier reported by newstodate - Stockholm, Helsinki, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The new stations are Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Budapest, Hamburg, London LHR, Manchester, Tallinn, and Barcelona.
-We have now tested out the e-AWB between Helsinki and Hong Kong with two leading agents, and the process is also progressing in Singapore, says Petteri Helen, Finnair Cargo Manager E-solutions, Global Mail and Commercial Partners.
-The goal remains to have at least 50 percent of all Finnair Cargo on-line stations ready before the end of this year, and we are certainly on track towards this end, says Mr Helen.
