Sep 11, 2013 (newstodate): In August 2013, Latvia's Riga Airport grew its cargo volumes by 43.9 percent, y-o-y.
While enviable compared to most other airports, the growth fell behind growth rates in earlier months, with 194.7 percent in July as one example.
The airport thus handled a total of 4,104 tonnes of cargo in August, including 3,595 tonnes of cargo and 509 tonnes of mail.
During January-August 2013, total volumes are up 47.8 percent, y-o-y, to 33,678 tonnes including 29,168 tonnes of cargo and 4,510 tonnes of mail.
