Aug 30, 2013 (newstodate): In July 2013, the latest month recorded by CASS statistics, Lufthansa Cargo trailed only slightly behind the #1 carrier, SAS, in export cargo volumes.
SAS Cargo reported a total of 1,083 tonnes of cargo in July, up 1.8 percent, y-o-y and attaining a 13.8 percent share of the market.
With 965 tonnes, Lufthansa Cargo came second with a growth by 31.6 percent and 12.3 percent of the market.
#3 was KLM Cargo with 932 tonnes, up 44.9 percent, followed by Emirates, 773 tonnes and up 25.3 percent, and Finnair Cargo that was down 3.3 percent, y-o-y, to 735 tonnes.
The Swedish IATA export cargo market was recovering in July 2013, only 2.1 percent down to 7,838 tonnes after a prolonged period of steep decline.
