Aug 28, 2013 (newstodate): Russia's Sukhoi Superjet is experiencing benevolent tailwinds in the form of new orders at the ongoing air show in Russia.
On August 28, 2013, AviaAM Leasing and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company signed a LoI on finance and lease of five Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
Under the LoI, the parties agree to establish a partnership to jointly promote Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft worldwide, with a particular focus on emerging markets with demand for regional aircraft.
On August 27, 2013 a three-party delivery contract for six Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft was signed by SCAC, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, UTair Aviation and VEB-Leasing.
The delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for 2014.
Thus, VEB-Leasing will purchase the aircraft from SCAC and place them with UTair Aviation on a financial leasing contract.
On the same date, UAC, represented by JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and JSC Sberbank Leasing, signed an LoI to form a joint venture to boost the Superjet 100 sales in the domestic and overseas markets.
According to the operating plan of the joint leasing company, customers in Russia and other countries will be provided with operating leases for up to 50 aircraft.
Further on August 27, 2013, Sukhoi Ilyushin Finance Co, IFC, signed two firm contracts for delivery of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
The first contract included five SSJ100 LR aircraft in 103-seat configuration, with first deliveries to a yet-undisclosed customer by the end of 2015.
The second contract for customers in South-East Asia and the Middle East was concluded for fifteen Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in its Basic version.
The first deliveries are expected in 2015 as well.
