Aug 21, 2013 (newstodate): The Scandinavian carrier SAS is to suspend services from Copenhagen to Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave at the Baltic coast.
Flight operations will cease from September 1, 2013, but current plans are to return on the route from March 24, 2014, as market demands pick up again.
SAS initially served the route to Kaliningrad for eight years until 2001, only to return again after more than 10 years of absence on March 25, 2012, offering four weekly rotations, later reduced to three.
