Aug 20, 2013 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Polet Airlines, based at Voronezh, is planning to expand its passenger aircraft fleet in time for the 2014 spring season.
The airline is currently considering the acquisition of five Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 Family aircraft, to be delivered under an operational lease arrangement.
The new aircraft will be used for charter operations to European leisure destinations.
In the passenger aircraft fleet are currently five Saab 2000, five Saab 340B and two An-148 aircraft.
Polet Airlines also operates four An-124-100 Ruslan freighters securing it a position as #8 among Russia's cargo airlines.
