Aug 13, 2013 (newstodate): Two Nordic airports are seeing significant increased in summer 2013 passenger volumes, vying for regional supremacy in passenger flows.
Denmark's Copenhagen Airport still rules the waves with a record-high number of passengers in July 2013: a total of 2,426,424 passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport in July, an increase of 4.9 percent. This marked the first time ever that the passenger numbers of a single month exceeded 2.4 million.
But Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport is trailing closely behind, with another record: 2,219,419 passengers travelled via the airport, an increase by 7.1 percent, y-o-y, also a new record for the number of travelers in a single month.
In Sweden, Stockholm Arlanda Airport handled a total of 1,893,300 passengers in July 2013 - a growth by 10 percent, y-o-y.
Finally, Finland's Helsinki Vanta Airport handled a total of 1,450,658 passengers in July 2013 - up 9.2 percent, y-o-y.
