Aug 08, 2013 (newstodate): New Ukrainian carrier YanAir has taken today delivery of its first aircraft.
The carrier, based at Kiev, will operate a fleet of SAAB 340A aircraft, the first of which is now with the company, with a second aircraft to follow shortly.
YanAir was established in 2012 and has now received its AOC and commercial license, allowing it to operate domestic flights in Ukraine with flights from Kiev to Donetsk, Chernivtsi, Mariupol, Zhytomyr and Odessa in the pipeline.
The first flight will take place in September on the route from Kiev to Chernivtsi.
