Aug 26, 2013 (newstodate): The Turkish aviation authorities have designated second carriers for scheduled flights on a number of scheduled route to Russian destinations.
On the route between Istanbul and Moscow, Pegasus Airlines will now be offering three weekly rotations, and the route between Antalya and Moscow will now also be operated by Onur Air, with seven weekly rotations.
Today, only Turkish Airlines has been providing flights on there routes as first designated carrier.
Also the Turkish carrier Atlasjet Airlines has obtained rights to provide scheduled flights on the route connecting Istanbul and Nizhnekamsk, with seven weekly rotations.
Turkish Airlines is, however, not forgotten in this reshuffling of traffic rights: Turkish Airlines has obtained rights to operate new routes from from Istanbul to Astrakhan, Stavropol, Makhachkala and Nalchik, each with seven weekly rotations.
