Aug 20, 2013 (newstodate): New in the market for Road Feeder Services in Denmark is Hartman Logistik, part of Hartman Transport Groep BV.
-Hartman has been trucking perishables from Holland to Denmark for years, but the challenge has obviously been to fill up the trucks on the return trip to ensure profitable operations, says Steen Bill, Hartman Logistik operations manager since May 1, 2013.
-Our task is to identify potential cargo for transportation from Denmark, and with our experience from Road Feeder Services we have immediately singled out this market for future development. And actually we are already 1st carrier for Jan de Rijk Logistics in Holland for KLM Cargo already before the start of the Danish company.
-We operate some 30 trucks with capacity for any type of loads including cooling, and with two to three drivers per truck the vehicles are moving non-stop on the route. Hartman Logistik is also fully security certified and thus able to transport screened air cargo into and between any airports.
-We are obviously starting out modestly, compared to the big and settled providers of Road Feeder Services in the market. But customers are always looking for alternatives and according to our experience there is always room for a capable new provider, says Mr Bill.
Managing Hartman Logistik, based at Nyborg, Denmark, is Thomas Angelo Guldving.
